A. The School House of Educated Wicker opened for business in June of 1978. Phil Hobbs and Ed Duke purchased the school, after its closing in 1972. The two life long friends ran the store for over twenty years. They used the gymnasium as a large show room, even utilizing the bleachers and the stage. Including the five classrooms upstairs, they had approximately 10,000 square feet of wicker displays, the largest wicker show room in the state of Indiana. [back] |
